Bjorn 3D"I had the good fortune to see this product personally, as the reviewer is a close friend of mine. I was amazed by its light weight and sturdiness. From what I saw, it was a good product, though apparently lacking in its bundle. I would certainly have liked to some sort of mounting mechanism included with this drive, as a lot of cases don't fit SSD's. Nonetheless, it is a good product for the end user to consider. This is especially considering that SSD's are becoming more and more mainstream, and the age of rotating platter drives is slowly but surely coming to an end. Considering that this is Zalman's first foot into the SSD race, it's a great start, and it has great implications for the end user."

Bjorn 3D"With the Zalman N Series 128GB SSD proving to be one of the higher performing SSDs on the market at the moment, the MSRP of $289.99 is still not too bad to make this SSD a decent choice for performance users, especially because of the SF-1222 (SF-1200) controller, very low power consumption and silent operation. The Zalman N Series 128GB SSD deserves a 8 out of 10 points and the Bjorn3D Silver Bear Award"

Guru of 3D"With the release of the N series SSD, Zalman makes a late but fashionable entrance into the SSD market. Granted, they are doing it right as the most popular controller any SSD can have right now is SandForce based. Being the more popular controller that unfortunately also means a slightly more expensive drive. "

Legit Reviews"The Zalman N Series 128GB SSD is just what we expected from a SandForce drive - speedy, resilient, and reliable. However, it remains to be seen if a company not typically associated with data storage can make a splash when entering the SSD market behind its established competitors."

Tweak News"Zalman's entry into the SSD market has left me impressed. The S-Series 128GB drive with its JMicron JMF616 controller performed well in benchmark tests, easily reaching the advertised 260mb/s read speed. Write speeds didn't quite reach the advertised 210mb/s, but they came close and you can count on this being a very quick drive for everyday computing as well as for gaming and other intensive tasks. If you're currently using a platter hard drive, upgrading to this drive from Zalman will give a boost in performance that is instantly noticeable."

TweakTown"Zalman N Series holds its own when it comes to performance and even though I hate to do so, we now have to take performance out of the equation since the N Series matches the speeds of a large number of other SandForce SF-1200 based drives. "
