OCZ Technology RevoDrive X2 - 240 Go
AnandTech"The reality for OCZ however is there’s no performance benefit to purchasing a RevoDrive x2 over four Vertex 2s and creating your own RAID array. We’re talking about a simple RAID-0 here, something any performance mainstream motherboard supports right out of the box. "

Benchmark Reviews"In conclusion, OCZ's RevoDrive X2 PCI-Express SSD offers two things not available in any other consumer SSD: bandwidth speeds well beyond SATA-6.0 GB/s capabilities, and absolutely incredible operational IOPS performance. As expected, these perks come at the expense of several coveted storage utilities: TRIM garbage collection, Native Command Queuing (NCQ), and Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) functionality. Until Silicon Image is able to incorporate these features into their driver so they'll pass through to the SSD, users will depend on SandForces' otherwise noteworthy NAND management to keep up these lightning-fast transfer speeds. Funky Kit"Once again, OCZ have delivered a PCI-E based SSD card that just blows everything out of the water. If you're a power workstation user or hardcore extreme enthusiast, who needs that extra speed to power through intensive applications, then the RevoDrive X2 is for you. It offers outstanding performance that almost match their flagship IBIS, which uses their new proprietary HSDL interface."

Guru of 3D"Anyway let's round up, the RevoDrive X2 anno 2010 is sheer storage perfection. The utter innovation and component selection make this product very expensive though. Regardless of that, the originality and ongoing strive for better storage solutions is a long crusade that OCZ seems to win. The RevoDrive X2 is easily one of the most innovative products of 2010 as far as we are concerned."

Hardware Heaven"Fast, stunning, fantastic, insane, record setting, outstanding, industry leading, crazy and amazing are just some of the terms we can associate with the OCZ RevoDrive X2. Put simply, the best consumer storage device ever created."

Hexus"The lack of TRIM support is a long-term concern, but whilst we haven't had an opportunity to test performance after the drive has been thoroughly worn in, we can state that speeds didn't dip after a couple of benchmarking sessions. And, let's face it, should performance eventually fade by, say, 10 per cent, the RevoDrive X2 will remain quicker than pretty much everything at this price point."

Hot Hardware"Regardless, we'll offer up a big, proverbial pat-on-the-back to OCZ for delivering the RevoDrive X2 240GB to market and have no reservations whatsoever giving it our Editor's Choice award for product innovation and excellence"

Legit Reviews"OCZ has taken the already impressive RevoDrive and kicked it up to a whole new level with the RevoDrive X2. It simply rocks. It's hands-down the fastest SSD we have used and its elegant simplicity in use and installation makes it all the more appealing for users of all levels. If you are the type that has to have the fastest and best of everything, this is the drive to have"

Maximum PC"With capacities that range from 100GB to 960GB, the RevoDrive X2 makes a disk-less PC seem almost feasible—if you don’t mind dropping a bundle of money. "

PC Perspective"The RevoDrive x2 builds on the excellent performance of the original RevoDrive. It turned in some excellent figures, pushing past much of the competition, and nipping at the heels of enterprise-class SSD gear from Fusion-IO. Cost/GB is a bit higher than the RevoDrive, but given the ~50% gain in performance, it seems to be a fair increase. If you want even more fire-breathing than the RevoDrive can provide, go grab yourself a RevoDrive x2!"

TechSpot"Based on this observations we were thrilled to see how the RevoDrive X2 240GB would do in our real world tests, but we were quickly let down. The performance was just average compared to the current SSD leaders, setting no new records. "

TweakTown"The OCZ RevoDrive X2 is the fastest single SSD product you can install in your system. It is almost inconceivable that it’s also one of the easiest RAID products to install as well. Anyone looking to keep their case clutter down and still have the performance benefits of RAID will really like the X2, as will anyone with a small form factor system that is simply incapable of holding four SSDs and the cabling required to attach them to the system.
