Intel 510 Series - 250
AnandTech"The big advantage Intel has today is that its drive is currently available and it seems to work. The performance is good and close enough to the Vertex 3 that if the drive does end up being more reliable Intel could have a winner on its hands."

Funky Kit"There's no doubt, Intel has shown what it can do with its SSDs. Featuring the faster SATA3 interface, the 510 series offers amazing read/write speeds thanks to the Marvell SSD controller. Although it may cost considerably more than we expected, you are getting one of the fastest 2.5-inch SSDs on the market ... perfect for gamers, performance users including enthusiasts and workstation users. Guru of 3D"Regardless of all comments and me perhaps being overly critical, the Intel 510 SSD series offers beastly performance and comes recommended, of course. It's a kickass product."

Hardware.fr"De fait, notre avis sur le SSD Intel 510 Series est mitigé étant donné l’importance des performances en accès aléatoires sur un disque système, soit l’usage principal d’un SSD."

Hot Hardware"f you've got or are planning to build a new system that will feature a SATA III / 6Gbps interface it's worth considering an Intel SSD 510 Series drive, especially if you work with large files constantly. "

Legit Reviews"While not exactly we were expecting by carrying a third party Marvell controller, Intel has done a fine job with their custom firmware to produce a SATA 6Gbps drive that fares very well against the newest SandForce drives. While we can't say it leads its class, it's definitely going to cause others to look nervously over their proverbial shoulder."

PC Perspective"While we were glad to see Intel step up and release this 6Gb/sec part, I can't help but feel this was a bit of a rush job. While the drive performed decently and reliably, I certainly didn't get that same feeling of performance awesomeness present with each of their previous releases. I believe this 510 was pushed out as a stop gap measure, with speedier offerings coming down the road. "

The Tech Report"Through firmware optimization, Intel has made the 510 Series particularly adept at sequential transfers. Not only did the drive perform well with HD Tune's targeted read and write speed tests, the 510 Series was easily the fastest when copying actual files in the real world."
