Corsair Nova V128 - 128 Go
Benchmark Reviews"hile the current retail prices make the Corsair Nova an attractive buy, expect even more discounts to come as additional SATA-6G SSDs join the market. The updated Indilinx Eco SSD processor compete with SandForce-based products in raw operational performance and read speed, while also delivering higher total storage capacity because of the external buffer. Bit tech"While not as aggressively priced as it perhaps could be, it’s still a little cheaper than the existing Indilinx Barefoot drives on the market and delivers plenty of performance. However, the Barefoot Eco controller is only an incremental update and doesn’t push SSD technology onto the next level"

Guru of 3D"The usage of the new ECO barefoot controller with 34nm flash memory makes the Nova series a very high-performing product that seems to be a little more affordable."

Hardware Canucks"When we look at all the positives and negatives of the Corsair Nova 128GB, there are a ton of reasons people should be looking at it lining up with very few caveats. Granted, it isn’t priced well enough against the competition nor does it perform above and beyond its immediate rivals to warrant any awards from us but this is still an excellent drive for first-timers in the SSD market. Hexus"The Corsair Nova V128 is a decent SSD with premium credentials. Keeping almost-new performance intact by the use of TRIM and BCG, it's a sound choice if you can stomach the >£2-per-GB outlay. "

Legit Reviews"Corsair has done a very nice job with their Indilinx-controlled Nova series which has posted results that give other similarly equipped SSD's a run for their money. Money is the keyword here as where the pricing settles will determine how successful the Nova line will ultimately be."

Overclock3D"Compared to its rivals, it's a stunner. With Trim support as standard, 200MB/s write speeds and 270 MB/s read speeds it is as fast and reliable as anything on the market. Even in big sustained read testing it still happily blazes along at 250MB/s and puts the Crucial M225, which uses the same controller and cache chips, in its shadow."

Overclockers Club"Out of the 58 tests ran, the Corsair Nova 128GB SSD won 44 of them and tied some of the others. Making this the best "

Techgage"These drives are so good to the point that a computer user would be unable to notice the difference in everyday tasks. Unless searching for the very best we can easily recommend the Corsair Nova series SSDs, as long as they are found at a lower price than SandForce offerings such as the Corsair Force series SSDs."

Think Computers"With all of the attention being on the SandForce controller lately it is good to see Indilinx come out with the Barefoot ECO controller that allows you to take advantage of the speeds of the Barefoot controller, but at a lower cost than before. This is because they drives can now use the 32nm Intel NAND flash instead of the more expensive 40nm NAND flash. The cost of the drive isn’t as aggressive as we would have liked to have seen it, but it is cheaper than other Indilinx Barefoot based drives that are currently out."

TweakTown"With the Force Series taking over the flagship status it wouldn’t make sense for Corsair to keep the same Extreme name plate for their Indilinx product and technically the Nova is different since it uses the new ECO controller. Still, the Nova provides 2009’s Extreme performance, but now at a new lower cost. "
